1. Introduction

This Translator Agreement (“Agreement”) outlines the terms and conditions between FastCert Translations Ltd (“Company”) and freelance translators (“Translator”, “You”) engaged to provide translation services through our platform. By registering and accepting jobs with FastCert Translations Ltd, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

To work with FastCert Translations Ltd, you must:

Be 18 years or older

Have relevant translation qualifications and/or proven experience

Provide accurate and truthful personal and professional information

Possess certifications or sworn translator status where required

3. Scope of Services

Translators are contracted on a freelance, non-exclusive basis.

You will perform translation services for various document types, including certified, sworn, legal, medical, academic, and immigration-related documents.

All translations must be accurate, complete, and delivered by the agreed deadline.

4. Quality and Confidentiality

You agree to provide translations that meet the highest standards of linguistic and legal accuracy.

You must maintain confidentiality of all client documents and information.

Documents and data must not be stored, copied, or shared beyond the project requirements.

You must comply with GDPR and all applicable data protection laws.

5. Certification and Formatting

Where required, you will provide certified translations that include your name, signature, date, and contact details.

Sworn translators must include their official sworn stamp or certification format applicable in their jurisdiction.

Translations must follow the formatting guidelines provided by FastCert Translations Ltd.

6. Deadlines and Communication

Translators must meet all agreed delivery deadlines.

Any anticipated delay must be communicated to the project manager immediately.

Communication will primarily occur through the translator portal, email, or designated channels.

7. Payment Terms

Payment is made per completed and approved translation job.

Rates are agreed in advance and may vary based on document type, language pair, complexity, and urgency.

Payments are processed monthly via bank transfer or PayPal, with automated invoicing available.

Any disputes about payment must be raised within 14 days of receiving the payout summary.

8. Independent Contractor Status

Translators operate as independent contractors and not as employees of FastCert Translations Ltd.

You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and legal obligations in your country of residence.

9. Intellectual Property

All translations delivered become the intellectual property of the client upon payment.

Translators may not reuse, republish, or distribute any translated material.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time with written notice.

FastCert Translations Ltd may suspend or terminate access for breach of this Agreement or poor performance.

Pending payments for completed and approved work will still be processed.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will first be addressed internally.

If unresolved, disputes shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales and handled by UK courts.

12. Acknowledgment

By registering as a translator and accepting translation jobs, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
